Hotel Liminalité
Berlin, Germany
Hotel Liminalité is a short surrealist drama developed and produced in Berlin by an international, predominantly female-led creative team.
The story follows Yume, a young woman who arrives at a strange hotel while feeling stuck between different stages of her life. Inside, she encounters guests who seem trapped in their own forms of waiting, repetition, and uncertainty. Through subtle surrealism, absurd humor, and carefully constructed visual details, the film explores liminality, stagnation, pressure to move forward, and the moment when someone decides to stop waiting for permission.
The project is currently in active pre-production and will be filmed in Berlin on 5–6 November 2026 at the historic Savoy Hotel. The screenplay, location, core crew, and key creative departments are already confirmed. Our international team brings together filmmakers from different cultural and professional backgrounds across directing, cinematography, production design, camera, lighting, sound, costume, make-up, and post-production.
Hotel Liminalité is being produced as an independent student/passion project with very limited financial resources. The crew is currently contributing their time and professional skills largely without fees. Support through the Pazz Booster would therefore make a direct and meaningful difference by allowing us to compensate the people whose work is making the project possible.
