WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY SOMETHING ALTERNATIVE?
Hi, I am looking for people to rehearse & shoot with in the coming weeks.
I like to broaden my view and get to know new faces to work together on BIGGER PROJECTS.
I’d like to try a more NATURAL, UNRESTRICTED APPROACH that benefits the actors performance.
The material is specifically written for THE ACTOR and not like it’s usually done,
where you try to look for an actor to fit the part.
THE GOAL IS TO INVOLVE THE ACTOR IN THE CREATIVE PROCESS.
Usually the actor has to stick to an image that exists in the creator’s head.
In our Alternative Approach the actor is the centerpiece.
Now they can actually take part, try things out… really collaborate!
EVERYBODY CAN ACT!
It’s about the angle. Some things come natural.
Acting accordingly out of your comfort zone is the difficult part.
So the safest approach for non-professional acting is to stay within her/his* realm of experiences.
Something that is often times ignored in no-budget production.
This should make for more believable performances and therefore meaningful stories.
NO PREEXISTING ACTING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
It is fine if you don’t feel too comfortable in front of the camera, just now.
Whatever you have… take it with you. Nothings off limits.
The heavy rehearsing should be a good opportunity to gain confidence in your abilities.
REHEARSE, REWRITE, SHOOT!
Everything is based on that cycle. As the Idea is born, we try things out, we plan and then we shoot.
A very reactive process that should allow for spontaneity and very unique experiences.
